Welcome to the Virginia Center for Healthy Communities
The Virginia Center for Healthy Communities is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of Virginia's communities.
At VCHC we envision a Virginia in which each community strives to optimize the health and quality of life for its citizens. Our mission is to support public/private partnerships that improve the health of local communities. We do this by conducting research on community health, sharing information with organizations and individuals interested in community health, and providing technical assistance for local community health improvement projects.

HOW HEALTHY IS YOUR COMMUNITY?
The Virginia Center for Healthy Communities, home of the VA Atlas is excited to announce the launch of the Virginia Community Health Entrepreneurs Program (VCHEP). VCHEP is a partnership with Community Health Solutions (CHS) through this partnership VCHEP aims to elevate Virginia’s capacity for health improvement by investing in the people who drive health improvement initiatives in our local communities. These are the people who create, organize and operate community health improvement programs all over Virginia. They come from all sectors – non-profit, private, public, and citizen. Together they collaborate to create innovative solutions to community health problems.
If you have the passion to mobilize your community, we have the passion to help. |
